Holiday Bling Blog Hop!

When I saw the post for the Holiday Bling Blog Hop, I jumped at the chance to participate.  I LOVE the holidays and I thought this would be a great way to begin the holiday season a little early!

This great hop was organized by:

The idea was create something for your partner - it could be jewelry, something for the house, an ornament - whatever you both decided....

My partner is the wonderful Debbie Rasmussen.
She has been at this longer than I have and she has been so kind to me.
The best thing about these hops & exchanges for me has been meeting new people who are so interesting and genuine!!

We decided to make jewelry - anything that we thought the other person would enjoy.

Well.... I absolutely love what Debbie sent me - she is so talented.
It really was like Christmas when I received the package in the mail.

Take a look:

Isn't it beautiful? - the bead work is stunning!

Love the ribbon....
I will definitely be wearing this over the holidays.

Did I mention that Debbie is from Alberta, Canada?
She sent along these gifts as well - I had to take the magnet off the fridge to take this picture.
How thoughtful.....:)

I hope the Debbie likes what I sent her as much as I love what she made for me!!
I'm in the holiday spirit already!

Check out her blog and everyone else who participated:

Happy Holidays!

  1. Debbie is a wonderful lady. It's great that you have a piece of her work to cherish. Can't wait to see what you sent her. So I'm off. Enjoy the brilliant start to your holiday season.

  2. I just love what Debbie made for you, Leanne, the play of light and dark is so bling! Hope you and yours have a peaceful and joy-filled Holiday season.

  3. Wow! It is stunning. I love the contrast of black and silver.

  4. That is a truly beautiful necklace. I'm sure you'll receive lots of compliments when you wear it!

  5. Leanne, I am like you, I think the best part of the challenges, hops and swaps is meeting new people! BUT getting the lovely beaded necklace from Debbie wasn't bad either, huh? It really is so pretty!
AND the necklace you sent her was really beautiful, of course I am totally partial to the color palette of blues and greens! So happy you enjoyed yourself.
Thank you for participating in our blog hop and HAPPY HOLIDAYS! xxoOh! ~ Shelley

  10. Oh yummy! That necklace is stunning. It is so great to know our little blog hop has helped to create so many friendships. Thank you for being in our HBBH!

  11. Hi Leanne,
The beaded rose pendant and necklace that Debbie did for you is gorgeous!

  12. Debbie created a stunning necklace for your Holiday gift. It's just gorgeous -- I love it. Aren't exchanges with Canadian friends cool? I have met some of the dearest friends from Canada through swaps and blog hops. Such a gift as well!

The necklace you made is beautiful! I love the colorway and special, asymmetrical style -- a lovely jewelry ensemble for the Holidays. Debbie is very lucky :)

    Happy Holidays, Leanne!

  13. Loved what you sent me, I have worn it and worn it and worn it and have received tons of compliments. Thanks for the beautiful present!

  14. This is such a beautiful gift you have received (I had a Maple Leaf pin ready for Therese too... I found it on the table, with the card, after I came from the Post office) - enjoy, it's going to be a very Bling Holiday, indeed!
